A LITTLE BACKGROUND

When David, our buyer in Kentucky stumbled across this wonderful car he was just blown away by it. I was a bit put off by the price tag but his description of the car was "on a scale of 1 to 10 it's an 11!"

David is so meticulous about cars that I knew then that we just had to have it and so negotiations began.  Yes, I know it's an expensive car but it is a one off and it will be one of the best in the country and certainly one of the fastest.

THIS IS A REAL MUSCLE CAR!
A laser straight black paint job on a rust free Mustang fastback body is about as good as it gets. When you’re powered by a 428 engine and connect with a top loader four speed you have what you need. The interior is new, power disc brakes new, front end parts new, chrome and emblems new. All this is good, but it got better when we added a Shelby rear and Shelby scoops, Eleanor style wheels that are polished look great and front a lot like ebays Fast Forward Mustang. EXTERIOR:
The black paint shines like a black diamond. A very good quality PPG was used, and then colour sand and buff to a high gloss. This body is arrow straight with no waves. The glass is new or in new condition, the chrome and stainless are new. The wheels are by OE Replica and look like Eleanors, but are polished.

INTERIOR:
All new! New JVC AM/FM CD player. The Shelby wheel is high dollar and beautiful.

MECHANICAL: The engine is a real 428 that was pulled out of a 1966 Thunderbird that had only 51000 miles. It was totally rebuilt it using the best parts such as a Super Cobra Jet grind cam. The engine runs like it should with no leaks "it is very strong". A new Holley carb was fitted along with, a new distributor, new radiator, new Optima battery, new alternator, new starter, new water pump, new fuel pump anything else it needed. The radiator is new as well as all the hoses. The transmission is a top loader with no leaks or grinds with a Hurst shifter. The clutch, pressure plate, throw bearing and pilot bearing are new, as well as all clutch linkage and bushings. The brakes are disc front and drum rear with a power booster and all new brake lines, drums, disc, calipers and wheel cylinders. It sounds the way it should with new Flow Master mufflers. All lights and gauges work!

HISTORY!
This is a car that lived it life in the hills of South East Tennessee. It started life with a 390 engine, four speed and GT car. It belonged to the owner of a excavation company in a small town called Athens. About 26 years ago when he was young he needed a engine for a truck, the Mustang had a engine that ran strong and would fit. Marty put the engine in the truck, a person has to do what it takes to make a living. It worked very good for Marty, he now owns a good size excavating company. After that the car ended up in the shed of the local high school auto body teacher. It laid there for all this time, the teacher Gary is now retired and realizes he will never get around to restoring all the cars he had in those sheds so it had to go.
